Aluminum alloys are the most commonly used alloys in die casting today. They can be found in most of the items we use every day because they are strong, lightweight and economical for mass casting. Aluminum is rarely used in its pure form because it is prone to cracking and shrinking. As such, it is often blended with other materials including copper, magnesium and silicon to help improve the alloy's fluidity, elasticity, corrosion resistance, tensile strength and hardness, giving it superior mechanical properties. Aluminum alloy die castings tend to maintain strength at high temperatures, have good thermal and electrical conductivity, and can cast complex geometries and thin walls while maintaining strength. Aluminum and its alloys are widely used in aerospace, automotive, construction, lithography, packaging, electrical and electronic applications.

Aluminum alloy is the most widely used non-ferrous metal structural material in industry, which is widely used in aviation, aerospace, automobile, machinery manufacturing, shipbuilding, chemical industry and other industries. With the rapid development of the industrial economy, the demand for aluminum alloy welded structural parts continues to increase, and the weldability of aluminum alloys has also been studied in depth.

The advantages of aluminum alloy:

The density is very small. The density of aluminum alloy is close to 2.7g, which is about 1/3 of iron or copper.

Aluminum alloy has high strength. It will increase after cold working. Heat treatments are strengthening other grades of aluminum alloys.

Good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. Aluminum's electrical and thermal conductivity is second only to silver, copper, and gold.

Excellent corrosion resistance. A layer of dense and high-strength AL2O3 protective film is easily produced on the surface of aluminum, which can protect the substrate from corrosion. Through artificial anodic oxidation coloring, cast aluminum alloy with good casting performance or deformed aluminum alloy with good processing plasticity can be obtained.

Easy to process. After adding certain alloying elements, a cast aluminum alloy with good casting properties or a deformed aluminum alloy with good working plasticity can be obtained.


Zinc's exceptional strength and hardness make it an ideal replacement for machined, pressed, stamped and fabricated components. Zinc also has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, requires fewer tools or secondary operations, and can be cast at moderate temperatures, resulting in significant energy and processing cost savings compared to other metals and engineering alloys.

Zinc alloys are alloys based on elements such as zinc. Commonly added alloying elements include low temperature zinc alloys such as aluminum, copper, magnesium, cadmium, lead, and titanium. Zinc alloys have low melting points and good fluidity, making them easy to weld, braze and process plastics. Furthermore, in the atmosphere, zinc alloys are highly corrosive and easy to recycle.

Good casting properties. It can die-cast precision parts with complex shapes and thin walls, and the surface of the castings is smooth.

Various surface treatments are available. For example: electroplating, spraying, painting, polishing, grinding, etc.

It does not absorb iron, corrode pressure, and does not stick to molds during melting and die casting.

It has good mechanical properties and wear resistance at room temperature.

Low melting point. 385°C melting, easy to die casting.
